A New Remedy for "That Time of the Month"

Menstruation is something most women deal with throughout their lives. “That time of the month” is a monthly cycle with each cycle lasting three to five days on average. Headaches, mood swings, and cramps are three of the main symptoms to occur during each menstrual period. Women try to persevere through the painful couple of days by using pain relievers, heating pads, and other over-the-counter remedies to numb the pain. Some experiment with every over-the-counter pain reliever and exceed the recommended daily dosage just to feel like themselves again.

Some women are choosing to try a more natural approach, looking at cannabis as a new solution to treat the pain. Using cannabis does not necessarily mean you need to smoke or vape it. CBD infused tinctures, topicals and/or capsules can be used instead. Tinctures can be taken sublingually, capsules are consumed orally, while the topicals can be applied directly to a specific area of pain.

Due to the Farm Act of 2014, CBD is legally sold in the United States. Using CBD for “that time of the month” is becoming a more common remedy. This solution has potential health benefits, rather than experimenting with different pain relievers that can easily be over-dosed. Read more on Forbes.com

Therefore, try a healthy and more organic solution to help treat your symptoms when your time of the month arrives.
